Enjoy the golden fishing grounds that you are given
Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #313 Jesus, My King (#352 in previous version) There are duties and positions that are given according to age and circumstances. Students are in the field of academics and have the duties as students, pastors are given fields of evangelism and duties as the Lord’s servants, and workers are given the fields of their workplace and duties given at church. Duties and positions are not merely a ‘nametag.’ God has prepared golden fishing grounds that each person must enjoy through their duties and positions.
1. Three types of golden fishing grounds
When we meditate on the Word that God has given to us and enjoy our lives with the Gospel, we will see three fields as the golden fishing grounds. First, the church will be a golden fishing ground where members of the church hear the messages and find answers. Through the pastor’s sermon messages, they gain the strength with which they can live throughout the week as well as the answers to their problems and hardships. Second, our workplace and school will be a golden fishing ground of evangelism. Things that happen at the workplace or at school will become doors through which God’s plans are fulfilled. Last but not least, in all meetings, we will enjoy a golden fishing ground of evangelism where we will deliver the answers through Jesus Christ.
2. God’ Word that is being fulfilled
Through the golden fishing grounds that God has given to us, the Word of God will be fulfilled in our lives. God has given suitable answers according to our duties and positions. God will save the church through pastors and the regions through lay leaders. In addition, God allows believers and students to share the Gospel in each of their fields. God has called us to bless us.
3. The golden fishing grounds of evangelism
The golden fishing grounds of evangelism refer to the fields where the Word of God is truly needed and where people come to receive answers through Jesus Christ. The Early Church, which opened the door of world evangelization, had believers of various social classes and positions. God allowed the Gospel to be relayed to people of all ages and every field through the members of the Early Church and raised disciples through the specialties of each individual. When we enjoy the plan of God in the place where we are, we will receive answers of the doors of evangelism opening and disciples being raised.
- Why has God given us this field and position? Let us deeply meditate on today’s message and make evangelism plans for the field that God has given to us. Healing Ministry Training Message / 2012.5.29
