Enjoy the golden fishing ground inside of your lifestyle
Romans 7:24~25 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God – through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in the sinful nature a slave to the law of sin. Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #309 My Soul Today is Thirsting (#409 in previous version) If the Word of God is planted in the lives of the children of God, they will neither waver nor despair because of their present reality. If they communicate with God 24 hours a day with prayer and enjoy the answers that God gives to them, then they will be able to see the golden fishing grounds given in their lives and discover hidden blessings. What and how must we prepare in order to enjoy the fertile fishing grounds that God has prepared for us?
1. We must live the upright life
We as children of God must equip ourselves with the reasonable attitude of lifestyle spiritually with prayer, the Word of God, and evangelism daily. When we meditate on the Word of God, our inner scars can turn into stepping stones and answers for tomorrow. In addition, when we face difficulties at school or at our workplace, we can overcome them with spiritual power. Knowing the plans that God has for us, we can prepare for our future and gain the correct perspective to see the world.
2. We must heal our spiritual problems
Spiritual problems are like cancer that has formed in our minds. With small scars, our lives can crumble and our future can change. If we interpret small scars of our minds and our incorrect thoughts in the Gospel, they can become stepping stones for world evangelization, but if we view them through the worldly perspective, they are merely handicaps and pains. Spiritual problems can only be healed with the Word of God and prayer. We must focus ourselves on the Word of God and think from the Gospel standards when making even trivial decisions in lives.
3. We must begin only with the Gospel
How do you begin your morning every day? What kind of thoughts do you have when you have important assignments and challenges at hand? God has called us to accomplish world evangelization through us. We must never begin the work of God with the perspective of the world or our standards. Remembering that God has called us as evangelists, we must take up the challenge in all areas with God’s standards. If we begin all things with the Gospel, God will raise us as the elites and leaders to save this age.
- Being children of God is the greatest blessing in and of itself even if we lack money, fame, wealth or prosperity. Let us meditate on and give some thoughts to today’s message as to how we can take up the challenge today in order to enjoy the golden fishing grounds in our lifestyle, which God has given to us.
