Experiencing prayer
Acts 2:1 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #565 If I Come to Jesus (#300 in previous version) There are many people who simply gave up their Christian walks because they fell into trials in their relationships with others and because they felt there were no prayer answers. But God never sleeps and is in fact answering our prayer 24 hours a day. Perhaps we are praying incorrectly from the very beginning. But because we lack the experience of the Gospel through prayer, the Gospel becomes more and more intellectually ingrained within us. People with the Gospel must accurately experience the Gospel. How can we do this?
1. We must wait while enjoying
Prayer is not simply asking for things we can see with our eyes; we must enjoy the blessings we already have. After leaving God, mankind enjoyed things other than the Gospel, resulting in many problems. We have heard that Jesus is the Christ, and have become children of God through the grace of God. We have to wait while praying for only Jesus Christ to become our ideology and nature. That is why Jesus Christ will be the lord of our thoughts and hearts, and the kingdom of God will come upon us. Additionally, the spiritual problems that were difficult to solve will be solved with the filling of the Holy Spirit.
2. We must have experience
God promised to fill us with the Holy Spirit if we wait while enjoying our blessings. It is not by our own thoughts or experiences, but when only Jesus Christ becomes the lord of our lives that the work of the filling of the Holy Spirit takes place. When we enjoy the things of heaven God has given to us as we live our lives, God’s power will be revealed and our lives will undergo healing. If we experience the filling of the Holy Spirit, we will be able to stand as the witnesses of Jesus Christ.
3. We must have continuation
We must truly have the realization that Jesus really is the Christ as we reflect on ourselves, as well as in our everyday lives and problems. When we maintain our faith to receive the filling of the Holy Spirit and the kingdom of God comes upon our lives, the Word which we previously believed has nothing to do with us will be fulfilled and we will see the field that needs the Gospel. When we see the field in which lives are being revived, we will receive strength and receive the blessing of being as steadfast as a rock.
