Spiritual state worthy of blessings
Matthew 11:28~30 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #365 Are You Weary (#484 in previous version) If you could see with your eyes that your destiny depends on your spiritual state, you would try to change your spiritual state right away. However, many believers who say they believe in God do not know the spiritual facts and are not even interested in them. They do not ask God for answers but look at people and their environment and fall into discouragement. What do we need to know in order to change our spiritual state to the state that can receive blessings?
1. Ask for good, and do not seek evil 1 Thessalonians 5:21
Although we cannot choose good things every moment of our lives, it is good to choose what is good even if we would be at a loss and to not take even a mere form of what is evil. People who are very pessimistic and critical doubt even the fact that God is with them, and their life of faith can easily crumble down. That is why you need pastors, ministers, and a prayer team to pray with you. You must have hope, share wisdom, and confirm the Word of God.
2. Believe in your heart and confess with your mouthRomans 10:9~10
No one can change God''s time schedule. When a child of God struggles to receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit, he can feel God''s hands guiding him to the seat of blessings and answers at a moment. When you always think of what the Holy Spirit desires and believe in your heart and confess with your mouth the name of Jesus Christ, you will see the work of the power of hell being broken down.
3. Remember what God has freely given us1 Corinthians 2:12
Is Jesus Christ the master of my life? We''ve been told that we will receive the greatest blessings and wisdom with the identity as children of God, but there are many times when we feel that is not true as we analyze ourselves. It is by God''s grace that I who had to die was saved, and it is also by grace that I now stand in the line of evangelists by realizing the Gospel. If you earnestly pray with the joy for God''s salvation, then you will discover God''s blessings.
