The evidence of Jesus Christ
John 1:12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.

Jesus who came in the flesh in human form and came to earth as Christ is sinless and is the Creator God who came to save us. Also, He died on the cross for the sins of mankind and, as the evidence that He is God, rose from the dead in three days. We should not regard the earthly ministry and the resurrection of Jesus as some mere old fairy tale. What meaning do the death and resurrection of Jesus hold, and what must we grab hold of from the life of Jesus?
1. He gave us the evidence
Many people, even though they believed and accepted Jesus Christ, find themselves unable to enjoy Jesus in their practical life at times. We can enjoy all answers and the peace that the world cannot give to us when we hold to the evidence that Jesus is the Christ who is the way, the truth and the life and that He rose from the dead and is with us right now by the Holy Spirit. The mystery that Jesus is the Christ is the solution to all problems and the key to all blessings.
2. He showed us what was most important
Jesus said that whoever believes in Him streams of living water will flow from within him (John 7:38~39) and that the truth will set you free (John 8:32). Jesus revealed the spiritual truth and made known the life. Moreover, He raised Lazarus from the dead and explained the blessing of the resurrection. Jesus promised that he who believes in Him, though he may die, will live and whoever lives and believes in Him will never die (John 11:25~26). When we enjoy this blessing of salvation, we will be able to grab hold of the life and the resurrection of Jesus Christ as the evidence through our lives.
3. He gave us the new commandment
Jesus became the way to meet God, the truth and the life. Furthermore, He has prepared heaven for those who have received salvation and promised that He would be with us eternally by the Counselor the Holy Spirit and guide us. Those who received salvation will bear fruit and enjoy the power of Jesus Christ who overcame the world even if they just grab hold of God’s Word. When we grab hold of the new commandment of Jesus as a covenant, true evangelism will begin.
