In the book of Acts, the Early Church is presented as a powerful church that received historic answers and carried out the Gospel movement with evidence from God. Before anything else, the Early Church held firmly onto the covenant Jesus spoke of during his public ministry. They saw the spiritual realm of Jesus and got together for the evangelism movement, seeking the spiritual truth before the visible things. Moreover, they witnessed the kingdom of God as described by Jesus after His resurrection for forty days. What are the three blessings the Early Church held onto while receiving historic answers?
1. The blessing of prayer
First and foremost, the Early Church realistically enjoyed prayer. Through prayer they corrected their thoughts, discovered answers to their problems, and uncovered the great plan of God. In addition, they listened to the Word of God before the words of this world, meditating on the Word with deep prayer. The Early Church restored the blessing of prayer as they realistically enjoyed the fact that when they pray, the kingdom of God will be established, the Holy Spirit will work, Satan will be bound, and the blessings of the throne of God will come upon them. This is when the work of God arose in healing them of their spiritual and worldly problems.
2. The blessing of worship
The Early Church placed importance in worship and set a specific time to worship every day at home and in the field. Before though, they joined together in prayer (Acts 1:14) and received the filling of the Holy Spirit. Moreover, all believers of the Early Church became one through the Gospel while giving worship and served for world evangelization. When worship is restored, you will enjoy the answers of Word fulfillment wherever you go.
3. The blessing of the church
The Early Church was a gathering of incapable, unlearned people who borrowed Mark’s small upper room in place of a church, yet God accomplished His work through this church. God led the church through these individuals and raised up evangelists to do the evangelism movement. The church is a gathering of people whom God has bought by the blood of Christ. When you uncover the work God desires from the church, the power of God will come upon you regardless of your incompetence. -Meditate on the three blessings the Early Church enjoyed and think about the answers you must receive and the plan God will fulfill through you at your church.
