Eternal covenant
Acts 7:1~60 “You stiff-necked people! Your hearts and ears are still uncircumcised. You are just like your ancestors: You always resist the Holy Spirit! You who have received the law that was given through angels but have not obeyed it. (51, 53) H

No matter how wonderful, the things of the world are bound to crumble in the end. Even Rome, which seemed so invincible, fell, leaving only the stories from the height of its power in the pages of history. But the Bible says that though everything else in the world may disappear, the Word of God is eternal (Isaiah 40:8). We must understand why superpowers and the Israelites in the Bible faced hardships, and understand why our families are living weary lives. We must hold onto what we lost, but what is the eternal covenant we must hold onto?
1. Life that is destroyed seemingly without reason
Man struggles to live and raise many meritorious works, but when curses come, they have no choice but to fall to their knees. Whenever this happens, they try to fortify themselves while being resigned to their fate. But fate came to mankind after we left God. Man is within the original sin after leaving God, and as a result, walks the path of destruction while being deceived by Satan all the while. We cannot solve the problem of original sin and Satan no matter what we do. That is why God sent us Christ and promised to solve all problems. This is the covenant of the Gospel.
2. The covenant we easily forget
God wants us to remember the covenant, leading us to do so through His Word, various incidents, and even the crises of death. But Satan deceives us from knowing only one thing- the name of Jesus Christ. Despite having received the covenant, the Israelites quickly lost hold of it. Every time they lost hold of the covenant, they suffered from slavery, captivity, colonization, and massacre. The superpowers of the Bible who had no interest in the covenant enjoyed the abundance of the culture of darkness and in the end faced a truly pitiful destruction.
3. A day in which the covenant is put to action
Even now, Satan deceives us into losing hold of the Gospel. Today may pass, but we must hold onto the eternal Word in all things, including our academics, work, and human relationships. Read the pulpit message calmly and meditate. We can discover in the Word of God the covenant He has for me. Determine the things you must put into action throughout the week as you hold onto the covenant. Communicate with others about how the Word is being fulfilled. You will see the filling of the Holy Spirit and you will be able to hold even more firmly on to the covenant.
