Why can’t I discover God’s plan?

When those who have fallen into quicksand struggle to escape by their own strength, it becomes utterly impossible. The more you move, the deeper you become engulfed into the depths of the sand. Just like coming out slowly from the quicksand on your own, religion emphasizes that we must progressively solve our problems on our own. God knew that mankind could never solve their problems on their own; therefore, He sent us our Savior, Jesus Christ. We call this the Gospel. If we simply hold unto the lifeline we can be liberated; yet people generally utilize other methods to escape from their problems. Why is that the case?
1. It is because they misunderstand
God was already waiting to call and use Elijah. God was perfectly prepared; however, Elijah lost all power in the face of hardships. He was sentenced to death without a justified trial, and even contemplated taking his own life. Because he had assumed that he was to live his life by his own strength, he completely lost hold of the hope from God. Yet, God’s plan was different from Elijah’s. You must not dwell in misunderstandings from Satan’s deception.
2. It is because they do not utilize the authority of being God’s child
Time to time, we ask ourselves, why must I study? Why do I live? Why do I need to evangelize? God has called us before the time of creation to share the Gospel. Yet, we are caught up by the problems and reality before us and we lose hold of God’s Word. The moment you are able to bind the forces of darkness and use your authority as God’s child, God’s Word will be restored in your field.
3. It is because they do not seek God’s wisdom
Generally, believers have not tasted the power of prayer, and thus, fail to pray and live according to their standards. No matter how much they struggle before problems, hardships continuously arise and the nature of unbelief only grows. Mankind must obtain God’s wisdom and strength. Through deep meditation of the Word, experience God’s grace within your heart and mind, and receive the power provided by God.
