The strength of one with the Gospel

In today’s society, regardless of one’s efforts and status, problems continuously arise. People seek a solution to put a halt to such hardships, but the use of science, skills, and technology prove to be futile in solving anything. Even in the age of the 7 Remnants, the hearts of people were hardened and the struggles were numerous. Yet, these Remnants knew where these problems derived from and knew the answer as well. How must we who possess the Gospel stand victorious in the face of problems that man cannot solve?
1. Enjoy the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and possess spiritual strength
In the age of Elijah, the forces of darkness had complete control over the finances, politics, and culture. However, the Spirit of God descended upon Elijah and he was victorious over everything. God is with His children eternally through His Spirit, guiding them and teaching them throughout life (John 14:16~17). When I enjoy the Holy Spirit with me, the forces of darkness flee and everywhere I go the kingdom of God is surely established. This is the spiritual strength to overcome the world.
2. Receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit
When you meditate upon the Word and enjoy the Holy Spirit being with you, spiritual strength is restored and you can receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Elijah engaged in battle with King Ahab and professed God’s Word, and stood utterly victorious over the 850 prophets upon Mount Carmel (2 Kings 1:17). Elijah, who received the guidance of the Holy Spirit, was always courageous because he knew of God’s plan. When we restore spiritual strength, God reveals to us the future and guides us by His Holy Spirit.
3. Stay armed through the filling of the Holy Spirit
Children of God must be spiritually armed and stand victorious in the spiritual battle with the world. When you meditate upon the Word and pray, you will be filled with the Holy Spirit and become spiritually healthy. The method to solving problems and our own weaknesses is through the Holy Spirit only. When Elijah became filled with the Holy Spirit, he came to life everywhere he went and restored the field. Similarly, when we who possess the Gospel receive the filling of the Holy Spirit, all the forces of darkness will be completely bound.
