Conflicts are platforms
Luke 2:52 And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.
Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #302 The Mercy of God is an Ocean Divine (#408 in previous version)
As you study or go to work, there are incidents that arise which build stress. Even at church there may be conflicts with various people. When conflicts arise, our walk of faith becomes difficult, and as a result, problems in our workplace and academics become even harder to resolve. Although we may want to avoid conflicts, it is not so easy within our hearts. How must I, having received salvation, overcome conflicts?
1. Prepare yourself physically and mentally before God
Instead of standing before the standards of the world and the eyes of others, grow and prepare yourself before the Lord. Jesus also grew in wisdom and stature (Luke 2:52). First, through rudimentary exercises manage your health and prepare the basics. Prepare yourself in knowledge as well by reading many books. Through certain books, you may be able to discover alternative methods to overcome your conflicts. Also, by reading the Bible you must be able to comprehend historical events and confirm the power of God. In an organized lifestyle, you must attain mental growth through books, which further helps you to understand your conflicts and analyze them with the eyes of the Gospel.
2. Prepare yourself socially and spiritually before God
Within the Gospel, all difficulties become opportunities for social growth. In God’s standards, conflicts are means of training for people and their lifestyle. Before blaming and confronting others, you must understand your problems with spiritual eyes. Also, one who thinks and acts before the Lord is a genuinely mature individual. When I prepare myself before the Lord, the past scars and present conflicts serve as a platform for my future.
3. Embrace conflicts as your platform
When you initially encounter a problem it may seem incredibly big and impossible to solve. By falling into unbelief and discouragement in the face of problems, the conflicts will worsen and your heart becomes desolate. Past scars are platforms for social growth, and difficult environments are used for training. If there are difficulties within the church, it is an opportunity to experience God’s works. When you perceive conflicts with spiritual eyes, you will be able to discover God’s blessings.
