Acts 1:14 portrays the disciples who devoted themselves to prayer 24 hours a day. God has called you as the evangelism disciple to save the field and the age. The evangelism disciple must see God’s time schedule, guide signs, and goal and hold to these as his covenant. Do not let your heart be preoccupied with the problems you see with your eyes or your difficult situation, just look to and enjoy the plan God has given you. The one who realizes that only the Gospel is the truth is the evangelism disciple. Then, what is the blessing the evangelism disciple will enjoy?
1. Three principles of evangelism
There is an evangelism principle the evangelism disciple must enjoy. First is the golden fishery of evangelism. The golden fishery is not simply the place where there are a lot of people. The place where the disciple, whom God desires, is established is the golden fishery. When the Gospel is relayed in this field, you will see the disciples who will carry on this Gospel movement, and the souls who were spiritually dead will be revived. When you share the Word and pray together with the disciples in the church, you will enjoy blessings like the evangelism fruits of the meeting between Paul and Lydia.
2. The mystery of the Pentecost (Act 2:1)
The day of Pentecost came and the work of the Holy Spirit arose. (Acts 2:1) The three feasts, (Passover, Pentecost, Ingathering) which signify the blessings God has given, are not merely days to remember. The covenant God gave is being fulfilled even now through these three feasts. If you uncover how God is fulfilling His Word through your life, you will not have unbelief in the face of problems and you will have leisure. Through God’s blessing which He promised on the Pentecost, the evangelism disciples who hold on to the covenant will save the age.
3. The field, those who have received the Gospel, disciples
Evangelism is not done by my strength or power. God has prepared the field, the one who will receive the Gospel, and the disciple for me because I have the Gospel. Even the crippled man in front of the temple gate called Beautiful whom Peter raised in Jesus Christ’s name, was a disciple prepared by God. When you uncover the field, the person, and the disciple whom God has established, you can enjoy the evangelism that takes place by God’s method.
-The field in which the evangelism disciple stands is the place God has decreed and prepared for proclaiming the Gospel. Remembering this fact, uncover God’s plan for the field you are in today. Evangelism Disciple Training / 2012.2.21
