The start of the Roman exodus
Acts 1:1~8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. (8)
Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #289 What a Wonderful Change (#208 in previous version)
When Israel was still under Egyptian control, the weak and powerless Early Church never ceased to devote everything for the plan of God. The Early Church went all-in to relay the covenant to their descendants and evangelize to all nations. They knew that disasters were spreading through Rome and the future generations would be cursed without the Gospel. Just like those who went all-in for the Gospel at the start of the Roman exodus, what must I devote my all for, and how?
1. Where to go all-in
To go all-in means to devote everything, staking your life. The things of this world are finite, and people change. You must stake your life in worthy places; in other words, in the eternal Word of God and the Gospel movement. The 7 Remnants of the Bible staked their lives for world evangelization regardless of the countless problems that hindered them. The Early Church went all-in to share the Gospel to their descendants. Through those who placed their hearts and devoted in the work of God, the blessing of the forces of darkness crumbling took place.
2. Contents of going all-in
The Gospel was hidden from before the time of creation. When you devote all things for the Gospel, the hidden answers and plan of God will reveal themselves one at a time. God said His Word will remain throughout all ages. The Early Church consistently believed the eternal Word of God through persecutions, and they never wavered or fell into unbelief because they knew of the plan and answers of God. The children of God must go all-in to discover the hidden blessings of God within the Gospel.
3. Method of going all-in
If you have decided to devote everything for the Gospel, you must first uncover the plan of God in all things through prayer. Ask God what He desires of you in all incidents and problems through prayer. When those who have discovered the plan of God gather together, they are used to transport the covenant to the younger generation, like the figures in Romans 16. The light of the Lord has already shined and the least of you will become a thousand (Isaiah 60:1~22). Whilst trusting in the blessings of God, you must see the spiritual aspects before anything else.
- Like the Early Church that brought the Israelites out of Rome, staking their lives on sharing the covenant to their next generation, think about what you will devote everything for. Core Training Message / 2012.2
