America and many countries of Europe are superpower nations that control the entire world’s politics, finances and culture, but the number of drug addicts is also increasing. Japan is another rich nation of the world, yet the number of mental afflicted individuals is beyond any other as well. All throughout the world, including Korea, so many churches have been established; however, in the field, as time passes, spiritual problems only get more severe. Why is this? They have advanced materialistically, but the true Gospel has become vague. David lived in an age that lost sight of the Gospel, much like today, but he received the answer to save that era. How did David receive answers?
1. He bet everything on the Gospel
. Israel slowly lost hold of the Gospel and the covenant became very vague. When they began to turn to idol worship, the mighty nation of the Philistines stole the Ark of the Covenant, thus humiliating the Israelites. In this age, Samuel and David did not lose hold of the Word of God and the covenant of the Gospel. They knew the answer to the sin, disasters, and the authority of Satan of those who are separated from God, and also knew the spiritual fact that when we pray, God blesses us with the blessing of the throne of heaven. Knowing such spiritual mysteries, he bet everything on the Gospel.
2. He grasped the covenant.
The day David was anointed by Samuel, he knew he was going to be king of Israel. Moreover, after hearing about the stolen Ark of the Covenant, David firmly grasped the covenant to build a temple for the Ark of the Covenant. From then on, the spirit of the Lord was with David and granted him answers enough to save the adult generation that lost hold of the Gospel, as well as the church and the nation.
3. He knew how to pray on his own.
Even on the brink of death, David knew how to pray on his own. Nobody was on his side, but he was satisfied with the Lord alone. We must also possess the mystery of prayer to stand alone.
