Jesus Christ who is the answer to all problems
Mark 1:9~11 And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.” (11)
Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #92 There’s One Above All Earthly Friends (#97 in previous version)
The book of Mark speaks of the work that Jesus did on earth. Jesus came to the earth with the answer, and He promised to solve all problems and take responsibility over those who believe in and have accepted Jesus Christ into their hearts. It may seem in our eyes as if there are many problems, but Jesus has already broken the power of Satan and freed me from the power of sin and death. How should we know and enjoy this fact?
1. A problem is an opportunity to find Jesus Christ as the answer
Many people complain before a problem or try to find a worldly answer to the problem. However, when we solve a problem with a worldly method, another problem comes and more hardship results. Regardless of the kind of problem, we must gain the answer not from worldly methods but from Jesus Christ. Do not resent other people or your circumstances as the cause of the problem, but enjoy the fact that Jesus Christ has solved all problems, and you will gain an accurate answer.
2. A crisis is an opportunity to discover God’s plan
Even God’s children meet many crises as they live. Situations become even worse when you complain or say negative words in a crisis. A crisis is the best opportunity to discover God’s hidden plan. First, question why God has given you a crisis through prayer. When you mediate on the Word deeply and seek God’s hidden time schedule in the crisis, you will receive the answer of transcending the hardship.
3. Today is the opportunity to experience fulfillment of the Word
God desires to fulfill the Word today through me. Fulfillment of the Word is not a miracle or a great achievement. God’s Word coming upon my big and small events is fulfillment of the Word. Set small goals about small daily things and challenge. When you enjoy today’s evangelism, Word, and prayer and challenge in your studies or workplace, exercise, and reading, God will give you big answers in your small challenges. For Jesus Christ is the answer, we can challenge with joy no matter what the result. Today is an important day to begin world evangelization.
