Those who follow the Word of God
Exodus 18:13~27 Listen now to me and I will give you some advice, and may God be with you. You must be the people’s representative before God and bring their disputes to him. (19)

After falling prey to Satan’s deceptions and disobeying the Word of God, mankind had no choice but to fall into the pain and suffering brought on by the darkness. Mankind attempts to look for happiness after leaving God, but true happiness does not exist. Even today, Satan prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. When we follow the Word of God who has given us salvation, we can overcome Satan. How can we be obedient and follow the Word?
1. Enjoy the status of being a child of God
God knew that we could not restore our status as children of God with just the power of mankind, and sent Jesus Christ to die in our stead. Only Jesus Christ is the way for us to meet with Him, and the unique way to be freed from the laws of sin and death. No matter who it is, God promised to give new life to those who believe and follow Jesus Christ. Only when we restore and enjoy the status of a saved child of God can we follow the Word correctly.
2. Enjoy the authority of a child of God
There are limits, even for people who strive so diligently to live on their own power. Once we know the covenant that Jesus is the Christ, fear will disappear, and there is no need to attempt to live by our own power. From the moment we became children of God, our destinies have been changed. Also, when we become children of God, we are given the tremendous authority that the children of God must enjoy. We just need to enjoy the authority of a child of God by chasing out with the name of Jesus Christ the forces of darkness that bring us failure and enjoy the kingdom of God wherever we go.
3. Receive the power of the Word through Jesus Christ
God wanted man to be happy with Him. In Numbers 6:24~26 and Jeremiah 29:11, God did not abandon mankind even when man went against His promise, and instead gave them the way to be liberated from the forces of darkness. Because God’s Word is complete, we will receive true happiness and answers when we live according to His Word. People who follow the Word of God will not waver, no matter the difficulties, and will have the power to succeed even when the forces of darkness attack (Psalm 119:6).
