My evangelism goal
1 Samuel 16:13 So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the Lord came upon David in power. Samuel then went to Ramah.
Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #518 We Have Heard the Joyful Sound (#252 in previous version)
God watches over us and guides us. The passage records that the Spirit of the Lord came upon David in power from that day on when Samuel anointed him with oil. We are the people chosen by God and the disciples raised to save this age. Through God’s Word we must discover God’s plan and our lifelong evangelism goals. How can we grab hold of our personal evangelism goals that God has given to us?
1. When we discover the goals of this age
God desires to restore the Gospel through us. Joseph’s family line lost hold of the Gospel through four generations, but when one person Joseph held on to the Gospel, his family line and his age were revived. Moses restored the Gospel of the covenant that had disappeared for 400 years. At this time, the miracle of the parting of the Red Sea was only natural within God’s plan. In addition, David held on to the covenant of the temple and dedicated his life to the preparation of the construction of the temple where the Ark of the Covenant was to be kept. We must grab hold of the truth that God is with us, open our eyes to see evangelism, and discover God’s plan for this age.
2. When we discover the goals of prayer First
we must have the time to deeply meditate on God’s Word. If we deeply meditate on God’s Word even for ten minutes a day, then scheduled prayer will naturally take place. Through scheduled prayer we will receive answers; our nature will be changed and our spiritual problems will be resolved. When problems arise, we will receive special answers through concentrated prayer, and in all events we will start continuous prayer through which we will see the answers that God has prepared. If we can see the age and discover our personal evangelism goal, we can easily enjoy 24-hour prayer.
3. When we discover our academic goals
We must set our academic goals within the prayer of communicating with God. If we invest ten years of our life in one thing, then we will receive answers of changing this age. In addition, when we pray and do our best in the things that we do, we will receive answers of rising to the top. If our studies are not going well, we need to pray to God for the filling of the Holy Spirit. If we ask for the filling of the Holy Spirit, evidence will surely come and we will receive power to concentrate in our studies through spiritual power.
