The path of the evangelist
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, is anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: the old is gone, the new is here!
Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #288 Blessed Assurance, Jesus Is Mine (#204 in previous version)
The 7 Remnants in the Bible were already in God’s time schedule even before creation. God foretold the future through Joseph’s dreams. Joseph, who had already received answers, never wavered. On the other hand, Moses did not realize the answers and consequently wandered until he was 80 years old. Because God knows our frailties, He forces us to look to Him through our difficulties. He wants us to follow the Word. What is the way of following God’s time schedule?
1. Path to uniqueness
We do not receive salvation because we believe blindly in Jesus Christ. Rather, we receive salvation because Jesus is the Christ. Jesus is His name, and Christ is His title. Christ absolved mankind of its sins by dying upon the cross- the only way to do so. Unless it is through Him, we cannot be liberated from the shackles of Satan. Because mankind is not capable of overcoming Satan, God sent Christ to us. Religion is a positive thing, but the only word capable of changing man’s fate on earth is Jesus Christ. We need to know the name of Jesus Christ, which is the path to uniqueness.
2. Path to the absolute
Evangelism is only within God’s time schedule. There are those God has resolved to save in His absolute sovereignty, and it is through them that God has promised to save the rest of the world. God has scattered those who are prepared for world missions, and there are also disciples He has hidden in various places. Though they may seem weak and like nothing, the Gospel will be relayed through those who are scattered. Remnants and evangelism disciples who have realized this are miracles in and of themselves.
3. Path to completion
It doesn’t matter what we do; we must be led by God according to His Word. If you are a child of God but have no idea where to begin, begin with the prayer asking God to abide in your present field. If you have the assurance as a child of God, you will not waver, and instead gain the power to pray and follow wherever God leads. The unique path on which we live is completely within the Gospel and requires us to look to God’s absolute time schedule.
