The spiritual state that the Remnants must know
Malachi 4:4~6 “Remember the law of my servant Moses, the decrees and laws I gave him at Horeb for all Israel. See, I will send you the prophet Elijah, before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes. He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers; or else I will come and strike the land with a curse.”

The day of the Lord is the day when the Remnants arise. God is waiting for His children who are wandering and in trouble to look to God. When we genuinely offer our hearts to God, the day of the Lord will come upon us. From then on, Christ who is the solution to all problems will begin to be applied to our lives. What is most important for the day of the Lord to come upon us is our spiritual state. What must we do to equip ourselves with the spiritual state in which we are guided by God?
1. We must examine our spiritual state
Depending on our spiritual state, our life can either fail or succeed and the answers that we will come to receive will change. There is nothing that will pose as a problem in our life because Jesus Christ has already saved us and has become the solution to all our problems. However, our spiritual life will be affected depending on our spiritual state and we can enjoy the blessing of Immanuel of the Holy Spirit being with us depending on our spiritual state. Therefore, we must examine our spiritual state, deeply meditate on the Word of God and take root in the Gospel.
2. We must cast aside our unbelief
The worst enemy of our spiritual life is unbelief. Unbelief seizes our thoughts and makes us lose hold of the important truth. The greatest stumbling block to receiving the filling of the Holy Spirit is unbelief. It causes us to be gripped by incorrect thoughts and confuses our minds. It makes us fall into illusions as we look at our present reality and problems rather than Jesus Christ who is the solution to all problems. People with unbelief live their lives following after their own gain and pride rather than the guidance of the Holy Spirit. In order to receive the filling of the Holy Spirit we must cast aside even a tiny sliver of unbelief.
3. We must know the mystery of being together
We must enjoy God who is with us as the first thing in the morning when we wake up. The Lord was with Joseph. God blessed every field where Joseph was. Even if he was sold into slavery by his brothers and put into prison, Joseph enjoyed God who was with him every day. If we can enjoy the mystery of God being with us in our spiritual state, we will not waver even in the face of problems. The way to maintain the greatest spiritual state is enjoying God being with us.
