David protected his sheep from wild animals. Joseph fulfilled his responsibility while in slavery and in prison. Without forgetting his position as a prophet, Samuel faithfully watched over the temple. Moses was faithful to his life in palace before he left the palace. Elisha, as an educator, had a heart for children unlike other people. During the days when it was spiritually dark because the Israelites did not worship God, Isaiah was the only prophet who looked to God. Paul was someone who persecuted and scorned the believers of Jesus but changed into the greatest evangelist from the moment he met Jesus Christ. What is the common characteristic that the 7 Remnants of the Bible possessed?
1. Those who know the mystery of mutual communication
The 7 Remnants of the Bible enjoyed the mystery of prayer of communicating with God. Joshua and Caleb who enjoyed the mystery of prayer as well did not care whether they were doing something big or small and were humble in any position they held. If we believe in the power of God, we can cast aside our thoughts, and when we cast aside our thoughts, correct thoughts will be formed. The mystery of mutually communicating with God is putting a stop to our thoughts.
2. Those who connect with the Gospe
l Paul was able to carry on with world evangelization even in the dark prison cell because there was a hidden disciple called Tychicus, whom Paul could connect with through the Gospel. Paul and Tychicus are the ones who connected with each other through the Gospel and knew what the correct devotion was. Exhausted, Elijah prayed to God that he could no longer preach the Gospel and that God should take his life, but he was already someone who was connecting with God through the Gospel. God gave Elijah a new commission and new strength. We can communicate with God through the Gospel if we lay down our standards.
3. Those who save the age
Those who communicate with God do not waver no matter what kind of problems come their way. Even though what we think is difficult by our standards, it is never a difficulty from God’s point of view. We may not know why we need to study and we think it’s difficult, but from God’s perspective it is a field given to us because there is work that must be done through us. If we waver in the field without any strength, the forces of darkness that prowls around like a roaring lion will have control over the world. No matter what kind of problems come our way, we can save the age when we have the power that God gives to us.
- The 7 Remnants of the Bible experienced God being with them. If we know the power of God, then we will not waver under any circumstances. Let us meditate on whether we have the mystery of communicating with God. Business & Industry Missions Message / 2011. 11. 24
