Day of the Remnant
Isaiah 6:13 And though a tenth remains in the land, it will again be laid waste. But as the terebinth and oak leave stumps when they are cut down, so the holy seed will be the stump in the land. Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English
Hymnal #265 Christ, Our Redeemer, Died on the Cross (#199 in previous version)
The Old Testament is the Word of promise to send the Messiah, and the New Testament explains the works of the Messiah who came to the earth and the future that is to come. The future that is to come will be disorderly and chaotic, there will be many religions but none with answers, and people will be swayed without focus. The Remnants must make today as the greatest day in this age of chaos.
1. Mystery of concentrated prayer
To enjoy the blessing of Christ in your life, you must have the mystery of concentrated prayer. What is impossible with my strength is possible by God’s strength. The Early Church members who enjoyed the mystery of concentrated prayer received the filling of the Holy Spirit and testified the Gospel. In order to save the people in the dying field, this blessing must be revealed in your studies and work. Because prayer is an important time of communication between you and God, you must restore prayer first.
2. Mystery of concentrated answers
Remnants must possess the strength to overcome the world before they go out into the world. Out in the world, you will face incidents that you did not expect and things that you need to take care of. There will be more things to overcome on your own, but there will be more problems that are out of your control. To prepare for such times, David enjoyed the mystery of being with God in his daily life. He prepared his specialty by enjoying the mystery of concentrated answers when he was alone, and he defeated Goliath with one stone. Because he was able to enjoy the mystery of being with God, he could endure the times of crisis of death and suffering.
3. Answers to receive in the world
The word “Remnant” means “the one who remains” and “the one who will survive until the end without being shaken by any temptation or hardship.” An international student who is overseas may think that he is the only one going through hardship and suffering, but he is a scattered one who has been sent as an evangelist to save all the nations of the world. You may become discouraged if you do not receive answers right away, and you may be unable to believe in God’s Word. However, God has hidden Remnants in many places around the world to spread the Gospel. He gives you strength to overcome hardship and suffering, and He promised the answer of being with you as evidence. Remnants who enjoy the mystery of prayer 24 hours a day will stand as the summit to save the world and become the evangelism disciples who will receive the baton of the Gospel.
- In order to make this time into the greatest day, make a schedule of prayer. Core Training Message / 2011.11.12
