Reason for the formation of prayer teams
Acts 2:42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

It is the most important part of life for God’s children to go to church, worship God, and pray holding onto the Word. To stand as witnesses of Christ by grabbing hold of the week’s answer through the Sunday service, receiving grace through the Word, and receiving answers to prayers is the normal Christian living. Most believers, however, are losing hold of this answer and the future generations are wavering and wandering as a result. If God’s children can grab hold of the Word and pray inside the Gospel, then they can receive answers in every area. We form prayer teams in order to restore this. We must place this specific reason in our heart and renew our prayer today.
1. The greatest work
There are many fields recorded in the Bible, in which great works took place. It is important to know when such works, including the exodus, the conquest of Canaan that began with the parting of the Jordan River and the fall of Jericho Wall, and the Early Church’s Rome conquest, took place. God called Moses and spoke about the sacrificial offering of the Passover and the plans for the exodus and let him explain these details to the elders of all the tribes. Through this, God made all the people grab hold of the covenant and pray all together. God had all the people remember God’s covenant and pray all together before the Jordan River and the Wall of Jericho. The Early Church devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. It was at such time that the greatest works took place.
2. The greatest weapon
We must understand well the situation of the Early Church. It was the most dangerous time schedule for the believers of Jesus and the situation in which they could lose everything. It was at this time that the Early Church all joined together constantly in prayer (Acts 1:14). In addition, just as we see from today’s Scripture reading, they grabbed hold of the pulpit message given during the worship service and devoted themselves to prayer (Acts 2:42). Also, important lay leaders were raised up and prayer teams were formed (Acts 6:7), and throughout the regions these prayer teams carried on the evangelism movement as they held to the Word and prayed (Acts 9). In the end Rome knelt before the Early Church. Prayer is the greatest weapon.
3. Crises of the church
Today’s churches say that evangelism is difficult. There are many people in the field in need of salvation and yet evangelism is not taking place. Moreover, there are too many conflicts inside the church. Many churches are facing financial crises. If we do not receive answers in any circumstances, we will fall powerless and will not be able to overcome such crises. However, if we truly receive answers to our prayers, evangelism will take place and we will be able to overcome conflicts and give offering. These are the important reasons why we are trying to form prayer teams and pray.
