Wednesday) Method to fulfill missions
1 Samuel 16:11~13 So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David. Samuel then went to Ramah. (13)

David started shepherding at a young age. At the time, David thought to himself, ‘Why did God call me as a shepherd?’ and grasped the important mission of never losing a single lamb. During this time, Samuel told David about God’s plan in anointing him as King of Israel. David also hears about the Philistines, the stolen Ark of the Covenant, and other works of God. He received a momentous mission through the Word of God. Likewise, we are receiving a mission from the Word of God. How must we fulfill the mission?
1. You must hold onto the Word.
Question yourself after hearing the Word. ‘Why did God tell me this today? What does this mean to me?’ The most critical means of carrying out a mission is how you receive and grasp the Word of God. Moses knew clearly what he had to do from a young age. But it was not until the age of 80, on Mount Horeb that he finally held onto the Word of God. He then tastes the best answer of the exodus. Constantly ask, ‘What is it that God wants from me, and what is He trying to tell me?’ This is the best method of fulfilling a mission.
2. You must uncover the greatest answer.
When a parent, friend, or peer insults or criticizes us, we immediately get upset or discouraged. Simply put, you give up on your mission when faced with conflicts, suffering, or pain. There is an important answer in fulfilling the mission here. When David met with hardships or persecutions, he uncovered God’s greatest answers instead of pitying himself. Joseph, as well, discovered the best answers amidst the greatest trials. Seek the answers from God to fulfill your mission when you are met with pain or complications or illnesses.
3. You must seek challenges.
After grasping the Word, you must seek out a new challenge. There is no need to burden yourself with huge challenges. Instead, find small things you can make challenge in. Then, as you hold onto the Word, think of the future and make small challenges.
-What is my mission? Meditate on how you will hold the Word and seek the greatest answers, as you record the small challenges in your life.
