Our background
Philippians 3:20 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ. (20)
Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #490 There’s a Dream that I Dream (#542 in previous version)
The key to answers to prayer is not diligence, and it is not even the accumulation of good or meritorious deeds. The moment you believe in Christ and receive salvation, our status changes to a child of God, and our authority and background changes, too. The citizenship of a child of God who has received salvation is in heaven, and if you enjoy the background of the kingdom of heaven, you will receive answers to prayer.
1. Evidence of the Bible
As the 7 Remnants knew the mystery of the background of the kingdom of heaven, they rightfully received answers. David knew the spiritual background to the extent that he confessed, “The Lord is my strength and my rock… Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me.” If a child of God knows this mystery and prays, he will rightfully receive answers. Even when Esther of the Old Testament and Daniel and his three friends were met with death, they triumphed with this mystery. Of course, even though the Early Church was in the midst of this hardship, because they knew the mystery of the kingdom of heaven, they did not shake. If you have this mystery, you can surpass the environment and problems.
2. Paul’s confession
Paul confessed that our citizenship is in heaven. The words that our citizenship is in heaven mean that the throne of answers and the throne of blessings are ours. As the throne of heaven is our background, every time we pray, God works, the Lord’s angels are sent, and all doors of answers open. Even after our death, we receive blessings eternally in heaven. In this way, if we properly see our background, we can utilize all things, and if we see the works of God, important evidence is given.
3. The background that saves the field
If we enjoy the background of the kingdom of heaven, we absolutely end up saving our fields. It says the Holy Spirit is with us, dwells in us, and has sealed us (1 Corinthians 3:16, Ephesians 4:30). If we receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit with this blessing, blessings come upon the academics of the Remnants, the businesses of the church lay leaders and the pastor and the church. This blessing appears upon the world field and church, is relayed to the future generations and ends up saving the field.
- Money, scores, our alma mater, human network, and skill cannot become our true background. Try deeply meditating upon the status and authority given to me, and the background of heaven.
