Heal the source!
1 Thessalonians 1:3 We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. (3)
Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #93 Jesus is All the World to Me (#93 in previous version)
In our walk of faith, our thoughts, experiences and judgment become a stumbling block. The long-awaited Messiah had come, but the Jewish people whose eyes were darkened by prejudices and biases rejected the fact that Jesus is the Christ. What is the method to heal prejudices and biases at their source?
1. The hidden source
Many people do not know the spiritual facts so they concentrate on religion. Many Christians live a walk of faith stagnant in religious living, not focusing on the spiritual facts and God’s grace, and living for success and blessings with prejudices and biases. The more we fall into religion, there are no answers and life becomes difficult. Regardless of the Gospel, we must heal our source that that has become contorted and twisted.
2. The Gospel that saves the source
The Gospel is expressed as faith, hope and love. People who have tasted the love of God are not sparing of any labor. If you embrace hope through the Gospel, you can persevere in any hardship and trial with joy and thanksgiving. This is the source of our walk of faith. Restoring and enjoying this, you can get a taste of true happiness. When we entrust everything to God, we will see the power of God and all hardship changes into a platform of blessings.
3. The power to heal the source
Even though many people talk about the Gospel, they are not realistically able to taste its power. The Gospel is the power of God to change everything. The Holy Spirit is with a person who has realized the Gospel, and the filling of the Holy Spirit has been promised to him. The filling of the Holy Spirit is a mighty strength that heals problems and weaknesses. Having assurance in all things is a great weapon. No matter what people, environment or works you meet with, if you have assurance, you can save yourself and also save other people. As the Gospel has been given through the Holy Spirit and great assurance, you must be able to find it and enjoy it to your heart’s content.
