Those who see the future
Philippians 3:10~12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. (12)

At each and every moment, we worry about what to choose and how we can prepare for our future. In times of hardship, if we grab hold of the covenant and pray with faith, then as the first answer, we will come to see the future clearly. In today’s Scripture reading, Paul saw the future in Christ and confessed, “I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.” What must we grab hold of from today’s Scripture reading?
1. Through the Word
As the first thing God makes known the future through the Word to those who received salvation. God said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do?” The heroes of faith in the Bible and all the believers of the Early Church never wavered because they knew the future. It is written that God will work upon His children by the Holy Spirit and they will prophesy, dream dreams, and see visions (Joel 2:28, Acts 2:17). If we enjoy even just a little the blessing of having the future revealed through the Word, then we will undoubtedly have victory. Every child of God who received salvation must gain this power.
2. Future
What kind of future is the most accurate future? What is the most accurate way to see the future? As time passes, disasters will befall us, the activities of Satan will become more severe, and the power of hell will grow stronger. The answer to this is Christ. If we see everything with these eyes, we will accurately see the future. And we must focus on the guidance and the works of the Holy Spirit. The troubles and problems that we face right now are the most accurate answers to see the future. If we are facing spiritual problems, it is the surest time schedule to obtain the spiritual answer. Pressing on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of us (Acts 9:15) and pressing on to take hold of the blessing of Christ sitting on the throne are the surest future.
3. Enjoyment
We cannot live in a perfect manner, but we must grab hold of the Gospel perfectly. In addition, we cannot make a living in a perfect manner, but we must have the perfect faith. What we must grab hold of in order to let everyone hear the Gospel and help them not to crumble in darkness is only evangelism. Perfect prayer refers to not worrying about anything but receiving answers 24 hours a day. All of these are contained in only one thing. In Christ are contained all things. Paul confessed that he was pressing on to take hold of it.
- We will undoubtedly have victory only if we grab hold of Christ. Let us meditate on what we have in our hands as we press on.
