Feast of Tabernacles
Leviticus 23:33~44 “Live in booths for seven days: All native-born Israelites are to live in booths so your descendants will know that I had the Israelites live in booths when I brought them out of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.” (42~43)
Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #28 Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing (#28 in previous version)
The Israelites who suffered throughout the exodus and the Early Church that was persecuted possessed the spiritual strength from God. God continuously spoke of the tabernacles and feasts to the Israelites who were walking in the wilderness. We must be able to see all things through the eyes of the Gospel and hear all things as spiritual messages in order to possess true strength. It is a lie to think, “I have no strength! I can’t do anything!” If you do not receive strength from God, you cannot do anything.
1. Creator God who is the Lord of your life
Only God has the answers to the problems that have no answers. Calling the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt signifies freeing us from the powers of the world, hell, and Satan. The master of your life is changed the moment you become a child of God. He has saved us, became the master of our life, and called us as evangelists. The life of the evangelist refers to children of God living according to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
2. Let your descendants know
God’s greatest command is to spread this Gospel to the ends of the earth. Evangelism is relaying the Gospel that you know to another person. Missions is going to the fields of the entire world in order to relay the Gospel. Centered on missions, your work, studies, and all directions must match with the time schedule of evangelism. God commands us to let all our descendants know the Gospel.
3. I am the Lord your God
God rejoices in revealing Himself to His people. God rejoices in being praised and glorified by His people. It is important and physically and spiritually beneficial to have fellowship and become intimate with God through the Word, prayer, and evangelism. You must have the mystery of gaining spiritual strength every day by having personal worship, meditation, and deep prayer in order to hold on to the pulpit message. With the Gospel that you discover like this, you only need to make today the happiest day.
- Are you gaining spiritual strength through the life of the evangelist? Begin a deep conversation with God.
