When prayer does not take place
Matthew 4:19 "Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men."
Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #446 I Need Thee Every Hour (#500 in previous version)
There are many people who say that evangelism is difficult and not easy to do. But saying that evangelism is difficult is the same as admitting that they have yet to understand the Gospel. When Jesus called His disciples, He didn’t tell them to evangelize; instead, He simply told them, “Come follow me." Then he told them he would make them into fishers of men. We must realize what this means first and foremost.
1. We must confirm the foundations first
Each person has their own thoughts and levels. Additionally, people are deceived by their circumstances. Only when we overcome this will we truly comprehend the power of God. We must abandon our physical ulterior motives to eat well and live prosperously. Only then will the door of evangelism open in earnest. It is at this moment that the Holy Spirit will work, and we will come to experience the power of God.
2. What we must absolutely hold on to
We need only to receive grace as we give worship to God. That is why it is imperative that we succeed in weekly worship. Worshiping means that we are looking to God. If we can give the most important prayer each worship, we can receive realistic answers. We must find all answers within the Sunday and weekday worships. It is at this time that we listen to Sunday messages that we can enjoy realistic answers. We must have true success in worship in order to receive the blessing of evangelism.
3. The life plan and the plan of evangelism
With the perspective of evangelism, we can see our life plan clearly before us. Make an evangelism plan as you peruse your region, your field, families and relatives. You will soon see important answers. We must make all people of all nations hear the Gospel to have several more opening their eyes. Of course, believing or not believing hinges on God’s absolute sovereignty; however, my commission is having all people hear the Gospel. Evangelism is when I enjoy the Gospel first. As this continues, we will be able to see each and every single person we must help in the field as well as the time schedule for these people.
- Hold on to the grace you received in your Sunday pulpit message and make an evangelism plan you will enjoy in the day God has granted to you today. Also, pray to enjoy the grace of Christ.
