The life that evangelists must enjoy
Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

Jesus spoke the words of Acts 1:8 to all His disciples and others in the crowd. However, Jesus was fully aware that all the apostles gathered that day would die within a few years after His words were proclaimed. When He spoke these words, Jesus had in mind young posterity and lay leaders. God speaks importantly of posterity and says that the center of answers are lay leaders. What kind of answers must lay leaders receive?
1. Only the Gospel
Jesus is the king, prophet and priest who overcame all disasters, the background of hell, and power of Satan. This is the Gospel. Disasters, hell and Satan continue to attack us even today. Satan uses all his wiles to make us oblivious to the blessing of only Jesus. That is why we must enjoy solely the blessing of the Gospel in all that we do. There may not be a concrete answer even if we confess only Jesus. When there are no answers, we tend to think that we have failed; however, God intends to give us greater blessings through this. God does not lie. Even though it may seem like things are not working out even though we confess that Jesus is the only Christ, we will in time come to enjoy the authorities of being a child of God.
2. Only the Holy Spirit
If we abandon our own obstinate will, the power of God will appear and we will be able to discover who we are once again in the Gospel. The fact of the matter is that we are within God’s works, as well as in the doors God opens. We are within the Word God fulfills, as well as the disciples God seeks. We desire so many things, but God does not give us what we do not need. The filling of the Holy Spirit is completely abandoning my own will.
3. Only witnesses
What kind of witnesses does only witnesses imply? It refers to someone who possesses Christ, the kingdom of God, and the mystery of the filling of the Holy Spirit. If Christ leads my life, we will see our time schedule, the signposts to save the world, and the ultimate purpose. Seeing these three things is being a witness of Christ as well as a witness who relays the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Peter experienced the evidence of Jesus Christ and became a witness who relayed Christ to not only the paralytic by the temple gate called Beautiful, but to the high priests and many others.
- God has called us as the main figures to save this age. Meditate upon the kind of answers we ought to receive as the main figures to save this age.
