What to hold on to
Acts 2:17 "In the last days," God says, "I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams."
Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #545 Down in the Valley where the Mists of Doubt Arise (#344 in previous version)
In order to live the life of the evangelist, you need a resolution. To the extent you first sacrifice or get rid of your thoughts, the power of God will be revealed. If you go to the field by receiving guidance from the Holy Spirit, doors of evangelism will be opened. There is something you must hold on to after you discard the life caught up by your thoughts, your circumstances, and your field.
1. Absolute blessing
The absolute blessing God has given to us is worship. If you do not receive grace on the Lord’s Day, you will fall in the field. Members of the Early Church staked their lives to gather in constant prayer and received important answers. In order not to lose hold of the absolute blessing, you must give Sunday worship and receive the answers and grace to live throughout the week. You must restore worship in order to begin the life of the evangelist.
2. The blessing of seeing the signposts
No matter how great you are, you cannot go the right way if you do not see God’s signpost. You must enjoy God’s absolute blessing from and receive the blessing of seeing the signposts. Paul prayed for everything including the way he must go from now on, people to meet, and places to go and tried to receive guidance from the Holy Spirit, and prayed for Rome evangelism. If you make a resolution to pray as you look at the field that God has prepared and make a plan for evangelism for a nation and region, God will guide you according to His signposts and answer you.
3. The time schedule for that day
There is a time schedule for the day on which God will bless you. Just like the Lord was with Joseph and he prospered and saved Potiphar and his household, enjoying Immanuel that God is with you is the greatest method to save your field. Paul raised disciples who were prepared by God wherever he went and enjoyed the answer of the church. The lay leaders of the Early Church gathered to relay the Word they received to the field. Likewise, if you are in the time schedule of the day of enjoying Immanuel, then you can never fail and will save all fields.
- How are you enjoying the blessing of worship now? Hold on to the Word and begin to pray for your virtual field of the greatest blessings.
