Actualization of the Word
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

The Word of God is living and active (Hebrews 4:12). But because we cannot see the Word realistically, we waver and tend to make the wrong choices. Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see (Hebrews 11:1). It is with faith that we can understand that the world was created by the Word of God (Hebrews 11:3). What causes the Word to be alive and active?
1. Before God
We must stand with faith in the midst of people, the environment and our work. Even if we may at times be deceived in the midst of our work, we must always choose faith and once again stand before God. When Joseph was in slavery, he chose faith by confessing that it was God who sent him to Egypt and to prison. Because he chose faith, God fulfilled exactly the Word He gave to Joseph. When you are faced with dire straits, choose faith. When you choose faith, you will see that the Word is indeed living and working.
2. The living faith and worship
When we stand before faith, worship will be a festival and the Word will be an accurate answer. We must choose faith every day to enable the Word to be living and active. Because it is something that is invisible and intangible, we need faith in this matter, but once we do, we will understand that the Word will be fulfilled. It is at this point that the Word will be applied and fulfilled in our lives. The Word will become our greatest strength and future. The Word will lead us into God’s plan. It may seem like we are facing hardships now, but we will come to understand that the Word will be fulfilled when we choose faith.
3. Application of the word
The Word was fulfilled upon the members of Mark’s upper room when they held on to the Word. Joel’s prophecy that the sons and daughters will prophecy, the young men will see visions, and the old will dream dreams was fulfilled. Answers will begin to take place in our lives when we hold on to the Word. We will discover God’s plan for us within the Word, and enjoy the kingdom of God through the filling of Christ and the Holy Spirit. We will realize that the rock of the Word, which does not undulate in the face of anxieties and problems, is within us, and stride boldly forward as we hold on to Word of God.
- David confessed that the Word of the Lord was a lamp unto his feet, and a light unto his path (Psalm 119:105). David saw with his faith all that we claim we cannot see. Open the eyes of faith to be able to see the Word as well.
