The promise of Christ who resurrected
Matthew 28:16~20 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (18~20)

What people have the most is conflict. When we are in conflict and in anguish, we lose hold of important things. As we live with many people, there may be misunderstandings and we may feel differences in our personalities because we grew up in different backgrounds. What is worse, there are many such problems even inside the church. This is the spiritual problem. God promised that He would send Christ in order to resolve man’s fundamental problems. And Christ came according to the promise, and fulfilled that promise as He died and resurrected.
1. All authority in heaven and on earth
The throne of heaven is the greatest background that God has given to His children who have received salvation, and as we live on this earth, God sends His heavenly army and accomplishes His works. This is the authority in heaven. God broke down the authority of Satan. And Jesus said that Christ who has all authority in heaven and on earth is with us. If we believe in this and pray, we can enjoy all authority in heaven and on earth.
2. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit
This is the promise that God gave, using His own name. Unseen to our eyes, Father God works by His Word. In order to save us, God the Father sent us His one and only Son as Christ. God who is spirit is with us right now as the Holy Spirit. This is the perfect salvation and power as well as Immanuel.
3. Teach them to obey everything I have commanded you
The very first thing that Jesus did, the last thing that He did before He hung on the cross, and the first thing that He taught to His disciples is prayer, and hearing the voice of God is the Word. Saving others is evangelism. Jesus commanded us to obey prayer, the Word, and evangelism. As people who have received salvation, we need to do everything that Christ commanded of us and enjoy with faith the blessing of Immanuel that He would be with us always to the very end of the age. From now on if we cast aside worries and cares and grab hold of the power of God, God will be at work.
- Meditate on what is important in your Christian walk of faith before God. Deeply meditate on God’s blessings and commission that are given to us, the saved children of God.
