Secret to waiting
Romans 16:23 Gaius, whose hospitality I and the whole church here enjoy, sends you his greetings. Erastus, who is the city’s director of public works, and our brother Quartus send you their greetings.

The Early Church was weak and persecuted. Rome and the Pharisees crushed the Early Church and took their lives. In times of great difficulty, Jesus told the members of the Early Church to wait (Acts 1:14). Waiting with a yearning heart is the walk of faith, prayer, and worship. If there is a waiting period, the Holy Spirit works strongly. How did the Early Church wait?
1. The content of waiting
What did they wait for? You received salvation, but you must wait for what the Early Church members possessed. Wait for Christ to appear in your life, family, business and field. Wait for God’s kingdom to come upon you. And wait to receive the filling of the Holy Spirit. If you enjoy this covenant, the works of the day of the Pentecost will arise.
2. The method of waiting
How must you wait? The Early Church focused on prayer alone (Acts 1:14). If you experience the power of prayer, God’s kingdom will be established and the works of uniqueness will arise. Also, wait for the Word to manifest in all regions (Acts 6:7). Various problems occur in our lives, but answers will come if you are not deceived. The Early Church members were not lured in by fame, prestige, and the likes, and they were not afraid of those things either. Nobody could block the works that arose. Enjoy today’s evangelism, Word and prayer, as you wait.
3. The results of waiting
Fruits will be yielded if you wait for God’s promise. When they concentrated on praying amidst crises, the filling of the Holy Spirit came upon them. And the impossible work of Paul, who once persecuted believers of Jesus, becoming a missionary took place. The people in Romans 16 enjoyed crucial answers full-scale. People like Gaius and Erastus could not even imagine saving Macedonia or Rome, but as they waited for God’s time schedule in prayer, they witnessed just that.
- Prayer is entering into God’s spiritual background and time schedule. Go within God’s great blessings through scheduled prayer.
