Many churches crumble because the people conflict and the number in the congregation decreases. This is a shameful fact. We, as evangelists, must bring an end to this, and we can. How so? If a single person receives grace through the life of the evangelist, that individual can save the church and field. Jesus shared a few mysteries about the contents of the life of the evangelist. What are those contents? After His resurrection, before His ascension, Jesus spoke of God’s kingdom.
1. Intensive experience (Acts 1:14)
God being with me is crucial for those who have received salvation. God takes care of those who have been saved. Therefore, if you discard your thoughts, worries, anxieties, your level, your motives and your calculations, and pray for Christ, the kingdom of God and the filling of the Holy Spirit, you will be answered. The members of the Early Church prayed intensively with the Lord’s promise for ten days and experienced the work of the Holy Spirit that saved the age. We must experience this today. Then all the disasters will collapse, Satan’s power will be expelled, and the doors to the throne of heaven will open. Challenging in this first is the most vital part of the life of the evangelist.
2. Normal experience (Acts 2:42)
The Early Church members experienced the work of God normally, wherever they went. What is the life of an evangelist that we must experience? In your walk of faith, it is of utmost importance to hold on to the covenant given through the pulpit message and experience the work of God through prayer. Henceforth, you will value each believer who has received salvation, and by experiencing the thanksgiving of salvation, you will also experience the joy and power of prayer.
3. Field experience (Acts 2:46~47)
You will then experience the field answers that the members of the Early Church received. If you pray daily for Christ, God’s kingdom and the filling of the Holy Spirit, you will receive financial blessings enough to do world evangelization, and you will newly see the field of evangelism as you receive answers in your church and home every day. The quicker you discard your experiences, thoughts, obstinacy, powerlessness, worries and anxieties, the faster you will receive answers.
- Enter into deep prayer as you think about the promise of Christ, God’s kingdom, and the filling of the Holy Spirit.
