Standard of God’s blessing
Hebrews 11:38 The world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, and in caves and holes in the ground.

Hebrews 11 records the representative heroes of faith who received God’s blessing. Now is our turn to receive this blessing. What are the standards for God’s blessing?
1. Principal source of blessings
God has given us the principal source of blessings to save this age. What is the source of blessing? It includes our future, but it also indicates the resolution of our past. We must make all our past the platform for blessings. The problems that have yet to be resolved until now can all be answers inside the covenant. Our powerlessness will be the area in which God will be at work.
2. Representative blessing
God has given us the representative blessing to save others through us. We must not lose hold of our today but absolutely turn it into a blessing. For this we must let the works of God’s Word, works of prayer and works of evangelism take place in all our circumstances, people and work.
3. Historic blessing
We are the ones who have already received the eternal Gospel. As we enjoy all things inside of this, we must have our lifelong evangelism schedule. Our future must be seen as today, and today must be connected with our future. All the people around us are the opportunities and tools for blessings. Because we are the people who will do great and important things in the future, we must be able to embrace anyone.
4. Commemorative blessing and irresistible blessing
The reason why God called us is to give us the evidence of the Gospel. God especially desires the Gospel to be relayed to our children and future generation. That is why He desires to give us the commemorative blessing. No one can prevent God’s blessing from coming. That is why we are the people whom the world is not worthy of. We can enjoy all things and offer all things to God.
- God has called us as the people of blessing so that we can save others, future generation as well as this age. Let us meditate on how specifically we can enjoy this blessing.
