Life of the Gospel elite
Philippians 3:1~20 What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith. There are many people who live hard, difficult lives, but there are also the elite. There are a lot more fields of evangelism among the elites than you think. However, most churches are missing this field. The field of the elites is an important field that we must save and a big field of evangelism. How should we save the field of the elites?
1. Life of the elite
The elites have many strong points. They are successful, because they are always enthusiastic and diligent in everything they do. However, they have many hidden spiritual problems. They suffer from personal conflicts, family issues, and problems regarding their children that others do not know about. This is the reason to save them. Many religions and other influential organizations have penetrated into the elite. Yet, the church that must truly save the world cannot give much influence to the elite.
2. Remnants in the Bible
The 7 Remnants who were represented in the Bible saved the age and the nation. God allowed them to know well the age and powerful nations. Also, God led them so they could receive an elite education early on. And He made them conquer the culture of the age. Whenever they conquered the culture, a great Gospel movement arose. The 7 Remnants in the Bible were elites who had the Gospel.
3. The Gospel elite, Paul
Paul was a student of Gamaliel who was a leading Jewish teacher at the time. He was from Tarsus in Cilicia, and was a talented individual from a young age who studied abroad in Jerusalem. He was also an accomplished scholar of the law, a Pharisee who belonged in a privileged class, and a Roman citizen. Paul who was such a person received the Gospel and said that all of his merits are rubbish. That was the extent to which Paul discovered and enjoyed the Christ. This is the true Gospel elite. We must find such elites in the church and among our future generations. The most important thing is to find the elites outside in the world. There are especially many in the college fields and prestigious companies. We must prepare the materials and systems to find these people and pray for them.
- How must I prepare to be a Gospel elite? Pray that your church will be a church with the strength to save the elite.
