New beginning and actualization
Isaiah 60:1~5 Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. (1~2)

The Bible tells us that there will be terrible times in the last days (2 Timothy 3) and that even churches will become corrupt and persecute evangelists (Matthew 25). In the spiritual field where the Gospel degrades into religion and even pastors into merchants, people of God must have answers concerning a few things and have a new beginning and actualization to enjoy the life of the evangelist every day.
1. Why is it that men cannot find happiness?
The Bible alone reveals the accurate answer to this question. It is because they have been separated from God. Originally men are created to live with God in the image of God (Genesis 1:27). However, they became separated from God by a fatal mistake (Genesis 3:1~10). Since then, sufferings came to men (original sin), and they have fallen into difficulties and curses that can never be resolved by any efforts or works (Genesis 2:17). It is at this time that God provided the one and only solution. Christ resolved the problem of all of our sins by dying on the cross (Romans 5:9, 1 John 3:8). Meeting God by believing in Jesus Christ and enjoying God of Immanuel who is with us is the true happiness that men must find.
2. Why do churches lack strength?
Why is it that churches lack strength? The light has already come upon us (Isaiah 60:1~2, Matthew 5:13~16), but without knowing this truth we will face difficulties. God did not demand for us to be the light but told us that the light has already come upon us (John 1:12, John 5:24). All we need to do is believe in this truth and shine the light. Putting into practice today’s Word, prayer and evangelism is the life of an evangelist and the life of enjoying the light.
3. Why am I not doing so well?
If the light of Christ does not reach the smallest part of our life, then things that we do will not work out well, we will lose self-confidence, and various problems will continue to arise. The Gospel must become personalized in us and this light must enter into our jobs, studies and interpersonal relationships. We need to renew ourselves by correctly examining ourselves to see what our bad habits and incorrect structure of our lifestyle are and changing ourselves. We must put off our old self that hinders us from enjoying God who is with us and put on the new self that God is pleased with (Ephesians 4:24). And if we newly begin living the life of the evangelist, answers will begin.
- Carefully read today’s Scripture reading and deeply meditate on it. Examine your problems that hinder you from shining the light and make today the day of living the life of the evangelist.
