The day the light appears
John 1:1~14 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. (9)

The Scripture tells us that the true light that gives light came into the world. It goes on to tell us that because this light is life itself, the moment we accept it, we will become children of God. This light is Jesus Christ. What does it mean for Jesus Christ to come to this Earth?
1. What does it mean for the true light to come into the world?
We can learn many things from revered saints such as Siddhartha Gautama (Sakyamuni), Confucius and Socrates. But no matter how many renowned and prestigious people there are, they cannot solve the problems of life. God knew this, and promised to send Christ to the earth to give us salvation. Only Jesus uniquely came to the earth as Christ. There are countless religions in the world that incorporate fortune-telling to determine fate and destiny, but Christ completely broke down the bonds of fate and destiny holding sway over us. Countless religions serve Satan and lead to demon possession, but Christ instead destroyed the work of the devil. So many religions preach zeal, effort and contributing meritorious service, but Christ saved us from within sin, curses, and the power of hell. Christ came in the guise of man as the light of the world to ensure that we are not destroyed for all eternity, exactly as prophesied in the Bible.
2. How must people with salvation comprehend this?
There are worthy aspects of the Bible even from the perspective of unbelievers. However, there are many more aspects that unbelievers cannot understand. There are also some sections that people with salvation cannot understand unless they open their spiritual eyes. Jesus came to the earth as the light. God Himself came clothed in flesh to the earth. Moreover, Christ shed His blood on the cross to absolve all of our sins, resurrected in three days, and ascended to heaven to sit on the right hand of the throne of God.
3. How must evangelists comprehend this?
When countless people were mired in idolatry and doomed to destruction, God determined to send Christ to us. There are countless religions in the world; if Christianity merely joins the ranks of other religions, we will face destruction. Many disasters are taking place all over the world. The reason the Early Church was able to risk their very lives to guard their walk of faith was because the Gospel of Christ is the only unique solution to prevent disasters. Therein lies the very reason to stake our lives upon the Christian walk of faith. Only those whose spiritual eyes are open can discover the reason.
