When many Christians shout out “only Jesus,” people of the world criticize them that they are narrow-minded. Why is this? We must do the evangelism movement for the sake of world evangelization, and the foremost thing we must restore is our identity. Moses heard and knew the Gospel from a young age, but he began to be used when he realized his identity. Like Moses, we can enjoy true answers from the moment we realize our identity.
1. Prayer with identity
Prayer without identity will not be answered, no matter how much you pray. We do not need much training and many messages in order to discover the identity that we are children of God who have been prepared since before the time of creation. We can pray in the lowest places with our identity. Then, you will discover answers that are in the highest place. David shepherded in the lowest place and discovered God’s high plan of becoming king. Paul was thankful for being lowered in Christ. We can restore prayer with our identity when our heart is in the lowest place and our thoughts in the highest place.
2. Identity discovered in the Word
Once you discover your identity, you must enjoy the Word every day with that identity. When you meditate with your identity on why God has called you in this age and to that field, you will hear God’s Word for you. Then, the work of God will be manifested in your life. If you do not correctly hold on to your identity, you will complain and have unbelief. So, how do you discover your identity? Just hold on to your identity as a child of God in the present, today, according to your circumstances, background, and conditions.
3. Identity within uniqueness
When you can pray with your identity, you will discover the identity within uniqueness. Then, you can enjoy the blessing of Jesus Christ who is the answer of uniqueness (Acts 1:1), the kingdom of God (Acts 1:3), and the blessing of being a witness (Acts 1:8) every day. You will be happiest when you live today with the strength and identity from God. This is the personal contract that God has given to you.
- Are you not happy just by the fact that you know the Gospel and are living inside the Gospel? Meditate upon the personal contract you have made with God, and draw a sketch in anticipation of the blessings and answers you will receive today.
