The separate strength Moses had
Exodus 3:18~20 “The elders of Israel will listen to you. Then you and the elders are to go to the king of Egypt and say to him, ‘The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. Let us take a three-day journey into the wilderness to offer sacrifices to the Lord our God.’ (18)

‘Who am I?’ and ‘Who does God who created me say I am?’ Children of God must discover their sure sense of identity. Only then can they receive the proper answers to prayers. In the embrace of his mother who nursed him, Moses heard a lot about himself and his commission. Although he heard a lot about who he was and what he must do, he was not able to discover his sense of identity. While examining Moses, we must not lose hold of several important things.
1. The age of the palace
Through his mother, Moses spiritually enjoyed the background of the Gospel, and while growing up as the son of a princess, he enjoyed the background of the world. In addition, he received the thorough instruction of Egypt’s palace education, top-notch in the world at that time. In this way, even though he had a tremendous background, he was not able to concretely discover his sense of identity and lived a life without any answers.
2. The age of wilderness, Midian
After entering the wilderness, Midian, with the status of a fugitive, Moses began to discover his sense of identity little by little. Even though we say we will succeed in the world, if we live our lives losing hold of our sense of identity, we ultimately have no choice but to fail. It is not the will of God for children of God to lose hold of their sense of identity. While living the life of a shepherd in the wilderness, Midian, he heard the voice of God, and discovered and grabbed hold of his sense of identity that he had kept in his heart for 80 years. He began to concretely grab hold of what he had only known up until that point.
3. The age of the wilderness after Exodus
If Moses discovered his sense of identity in Midian, the time at which he full-scale grabbed hold of his sense of identity was the age of the wilderness precisely after he came out of Egypt. The works of Exodus occurred when the sense of identity that Moses grabbed hold of, the blood of the Passover lamb, and the Gospel came together. Miracles arise when our sense of identity that we have grabbed hold of and the Gospel come together. The 10 disasters that befell Egypt were 10 miracles for the Israelite nation. When I grab hold of my personal sense of identity of who I am, I develop the strength to correctly enjoy the Gospel.
- Who am I before the Gospel and God? While looking at the family, field, church and age that you must save, try deeply meditating upon your correct sense of identity in the Gospel.
