The final promise – strength
Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
♬ Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #88 I Have Found a Friend in Jesus
After Jesus resurrected, He told his disciples who had no power whatsoever that they would receive the power to save the world. The Early Church conquered the world with this strength. We absolutely cannot receive answers with any other strength. Even now, God is working with a power similar to the Early Church’s power. What must we do first in order to gain this strength?
1. There is something we must do first and foremost in order to gain strength.
Before receiving prayer answers and blessings, we must open our eyes. We must see that Christ has solved all our problems. If our thoughts do not change, we end up losing hold of the important things. The 7 Remnants and the Early Church saw problems as blessings. The eyes with which they saw people were different because of the fact that Christ solved all problems. It is important to get rid of ourselves for the sake of discovering Christ. The majority of people who do not do this lose hold of God’s great blessings and live their lives in misconception.
2. Four very important things take place from this point on.
We must discover Christ daily from now on. This is prayer (Acts 1:1). The moment you discover Christ, the forces of darkness crumble. If we grab hold of this covenant and continually pray, one day, the time schedule comes. That is the kingdom of God (Acts 1:3). Starting from this moment, the door opens. God possesses the grounds for all blessings regarding our environment. Therefore, Jesus said to wait (Acts 1:8). This Word is fulfilled exactly to the day the Lord comes again (Acts 1:11). If you grab hold of the Word when a problem comes, or when a big answer or blessing comes, God does everything (Acts 1:11).
3. We just need to not be deceived.
Satan still uses three types of strategies. He plows into the individual, the church and the culture. However, Jesus solved all curses by which we should have failed on the cross. That is why it says to be clothed with only the Holy Spirit. Grab hold of the covenant, which is not the level or standard of the world, and enjoy the blessing of prayer before God who answers 24 hours a day. We will absolutely succeed because Christ who resurrected is with us right now through the Holy Spirit.
-No matter what the field, if we have the true strength that God gives, we will have victory. Find your personal method to gain the spiritual strength that God gives you today.
