Atone your life
Exodus 30:11~16 Receive the atonement money from the Israelites and use it for the service of the Tent of Meeting. It will be a memorial for the Israelites before the Lord, making atonement for your lives. (16)

By God’s grace, salvation is freely given to those who believe. It is not that there is no value, but because no life is capable of paying such a tremendous amount, God made the requirement for salvation ‘faith.’ God promised to send Christ because mankind is not able to meet God through their efforts. The Word states that only Christ can serve as the payment and a ransom for many (Mark 10:45). Christ is the only way to meet God.
1. Census of all people in the population
God commanded a census of all the people in Israel. What was the reason? It was in order for Israel to become one. The Gospel is a spiritual science as well as the spiritual truth. God revealed His work age by age when one person held unto the Gospel. However, when the people of God come together in prayer, there is no other force that can overcome it. When the Israelites moved as one centered on the tabernacle and followed the Ark of the Covenant, God guided them with a pillar of cloud in the morning and a pillar of fire at night. Also, the Jordan split and the wall of Jericho crumbled. God desired for the Israelites to be aware of the blessings they had received. God’s method is the oneness among those possessing the covenant.
2. Temple tax and atonement money
A census is a fundamental duty when gathering an army or collecting taxes. God commanded the Israelites to gather the temple tax and to finish building the tabernacle. The tabernacle was the center of their life as it served as God’s guidance and place of giving worship. Without even one person missing, every person counted was commanded to become one. The temple tax is a rightful offering given to God. Also, the atonement money was to redeem their life. God’s desire is to leave behind a monument of the Gospel, the blood of the lamb that solved the problem of sin. Knowing this mystery becomes salvation which atones for your life. Salvation comes upon those who believe. Our lives and finances are important evidences centered on the Gospel. From infants to adults, when individuals with this evidence gather together, God’s work for atoning lives will continue. Whoever calls upon the name of God will receive salvation. The offering we give to God gladly with an earnest heart becomes our confession of faith.
