The path gets blocked because there is a better way
Acts 16:6~10 Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the Word in the province of Asia. When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to. (6~7)

When the path is blocked, people struggle to get through the obstacle, or they may give up and back down. As God’s children and evangelists, however, there is no need for us to do such things. That the path is blocked for the children of God means that there is a better path that lies ahead of them. God has stopped us from walking a certain path because He desires to open up a better path for us. If so, we must stake our lives on seeking after God’s will. What must we do to find God’s will?
1. We must get rid of impatience
The quickest way to have our problems resolved and enjoy blessings is to rid ourselves of impatience. Abraham waited 25 years and Jacob 21 years. As he was waiting 13 years, Joseph witnessed blessings being fulfilled. If perchance the path that we are walking on is blocked, we must not think in a hurried manner. If we remember the covenant and wait as we pray for God’s kingdom to be established, we will see everything differently and great answers will be given to us. If God’s kingdom comes upon our field, the problems will work for the good of the Gospel and evangelism. We only need to hold fast to the covenant and wait as we pray.
2. Great answers will come if we worry about receiving the guidance of the Holy Spirit
What we must do is to struggle to receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit. In order to receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we must keep three things in mind. God may prevent certain things in order to give us something better (Acts 16:6). Or there may be times when God does not permit the things we pray for no matter how much we pray (Acts 16:8). At other times He accurately guides us through (Acts 16:9). All things will be restored if we keep these three things in mind and think about receiving God’s guidance.
3. Complete answers will come when we enjoy the filling of the Holy Spirit
Paul struggled to discover the path that God had provided. The filling of the Holy Spirit is something that God has promised to give to us. We only need to pray for it and receive it with faith. If we hold to this covenant and confess that we need the filling of the Holy Spirit in our lives, God will surely grant it to us. We only need to grab hold of the filling of the Holy Spirit through scheduled worship and scheduled prayer and surrender everything else.
