There are difficulties that constantly find us, and hardships that befall us suddenly. There may also be problems that are overwhelming for us. But we are not unbelievers who do not know God; rather, we are children of God and evangelists who will save this age. Then, we must not despair or be dismayed because of difficulties or problems, but we must seek the answer God gives even in the midst of hardships. Paul endured his greatest hardships in Lystra. In Lystra, he was almost stoned to death but did not give up; as a result of his steadfastness, he met Timothy. Meeting Timothy was the greatest treasure Paul gained in Lystra. No matter how much hardships we are faced with, if we make a deep resolution of faith the forces of darkness will crumble and the next answers will begin.
1. Blessing of meetings
Everyone who enjoyed answers in the Bible were all people who truly enjoyed the blessing of meeting. How was Joseph able to gain audience with the Pharaoh? It was possible because blessing of meetings are in God’s hands. If we are not deceived by our circumstances and do not resort to unbelief, God will open all doors. When we resolve to no longer be deceived by the powers of darkness and the culture of Satan, the work of God will be fulfilled.
2. Meeting disciples
Paul and Timothy’s meeting was a meeting of the fulfillment of the covenant. Their meeting led to further blessings and they were able to save the world that was destined for destruction. It led to a meeting of one witness who relayed correctly the evangelism blessings of their age and raising up of an evangelist.
3. One place, one nation
Would Paul have been able to meet a hidden disciple like Timothy in the region if he had turned away from his hardships and removed himself elsewhere? There are disciples who are absolutely hidden in one place and one nation. All God’s plans and purpose in its entirety is focused upon the hidden disciple. It is for this purpose that we must receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The answer that arises at this point is the regional church. If we firmly hold on to this covenant, works will arise in one place and we will revive a nation.
