The Gospel is the greatest gift that God has given to us, and we can have success in our Christian lives if ‘Only the Gospel’ takes place in our lives. If we look at everything through the eyes of ‘Only the Gospel’, then it goes without saying that we will hold onto the answer of ‘Only evangelism’ as well. In the field there are so many people who are bound by serious spiritual problems. We must relay an accurate Gospel to them. However, more Christians than we know misunderstand evangelism. That is why the Gospel and evangelism cannot be separated, because they are ultimately one. How can we understand and enjoy the Gospel and evangelism?
1. Christ must be revealed in our lives first
The first step to evangelism is having Christ revealed in our lives. The evidence of Christ was first revealed in the life of Joseph when he was a slave, and the life of David when he was a shepherd. If the forces of curses flee and the forces of Satan crumble wherever we go, the evidence of Christ will be revealed first in our lives. This is the beginning of evangelism.
2. Evangelism is other people seeing and knowing
Other people being able to see that Christ is with us is evangelism. Potiphar saw that the Lord was with Joseph. All the people saw David stand in front of Goliath and boldly give his confession of faith. The people were able to see God, who worked through Peter, through the healed crippled beggar. Many people came to know the spiritual reality by seeing the life of Paul. This is evangelism.
3. Evangelism is taking the Gospel to places that have yet to hear the Gospel
Because there are so many people in the field who have not received the Gospel, we must not delay but go to the field. There are many people in the field who have not heard the Gospel, who heard the Gospel incorrectly, or heard the Gospel but are unable to properly enjoy it. All we have to do is think about ‘Only the Gospel’ and ‘Only evangelism.’ All of God’s blessings are contained within these things. The Bible says that the end will come when the Gospel is preached in the whole world (Matthew 24:14). The resurrected Jesus said to go out to all nations. From this point on, we must think about evangelism 24 hours a day, and dream of evangelism even when we dream. We must connect everything to the Gospel and evangelism and pray in that way too. Then power will be revealed and the works of healing will arise.
