We must heal the past
Isaiah 43:1~7 "But now, this is what the Lord says- he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: ‘Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine."(1)

If we do not heal our past, we will fall prey to the scars and spiritual problems of our past. When this continues on for a long time, those scars and spiritual problems will get worse. That is why we must absolutely heal the problems of our past. First, we must know the reasons why these problems occurred.
1. Reason
Why did the Israelites continue to face disasters? They were first enslaved bythe Egyptians before being decimated at the hands of the Babylonians and becoming their captives. The Israelites were utterly devastated. The temple was burnt in a fire, and their king’s eyes were gouged out before the king himself was dragged in chains to Babylon. Why do such terrifying problems occur? We must absolutely know the reason for this. Israel lost hold of the Gospel long before these events took place. Subsequently, spiritual problems had also begun from long before. Their past nature of slavery still remained, and because they continued idolatry on top of that, disasters had no choice but to come. When the Israelites were facing such horrific devastation, God told them, ““The old has gone, I will do a new work.””We too must no longer be held captive to our past and the scars of our past but become completely liberated from it. God will absolutely do a new work.
2. We must break free from the conventions of the past
We must break free from the conventions and molds of the past. We must overcome all limitations. We must change ourselves to large vessels. We must destroy and get rid of our small, limited vessel that cannot contain the answers of God or are hindrances to the answers of God. When we break down the conventions and molds of the past, God will absolutely do a new work through us.
3. The covenant we must hold onto
We must hold onto the eternal Word of God as a message that He has given to us personally. Only then can we truly see how the Word is fulfilled. We must hold onto the Word of the present and sincerely begin from what is weakest. We need only once experience the power of God. When we look to God today, we will absolutely experience Him. When we experience His power, our eyes will be opened. We must let go of our difficult problems, weaknesses, and even the most humiliating things before God. It is at this very moment that God will do His new work.
