God’s mercy

We must be overjoyed every time we give worship because of the important answers God will give us. We must pray with the heart-racing knowledge that our problems will be solved if God works upon them. Paul was someone who was always overjoyed and thankful because of this. Paul was the most thankful person even though he went through many hardships, and he ended up receiving many answers. What is it that Paul knew?
1. God, who is merciful
Most people think God is scary or evil. God is a God of mercy. Paul knew this well. If we don’t know this, we will be scared or worried. We will be overrun by the forces of darkness, just like unbelievers, even though we are saved. There are so many people in the world who suffer physically and mentally. There are also a lot of people who are scared of unavoidable disaster. We too, will face those things if we don’t receive God’s mercy and grace. However, God has promised those who have received salvation that he would save them from these things. Paul knew this well.
2. What is mercy?
Mercy is God completely saving us from the state of unbelievers, in which we had no choice but to die. People who were separated from God became children of the devil and worshiped idols. Mental and physical problems result from idol worship and people end up going to hell after being afflicted for their whole lives. Mercy is being unconditionally liberated from this suffering. Mercy is also the work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of children of God who have received salvation. Mercy is the Holy Spirit being inside of us, being with us and being with us forever. Mercy is the heavenly armies being mobilized wherever children of God go and being given the authority to break down the forces of darkness.
