Those who saw what was important
Acts 8:1~8 Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went. Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Christ there. When the crowds heard Philip and saw the miraculous signs he did, they all paid close attention to what he said. (4~6)

What is the Gospel? What is the reason why we emphasize the Gospel? Everything lies in the Gospel. Jesus Christ is the conclusion of our lives. Therefore, we must enter into only the Gospel, only prayer and only evangelism. Then, we will come to realize, experience and enjoy the Gospel by the working of the Holy Spirit. We will receive the filling of the Holy Spirit, by which we can transcend our standards and defeat Satan’s attacks. All of this is possible only by the working of the Holy Spirit. Holding onto this mystery, the Early Church rose above their circumstances and saved the world with the Gospel. Can we, too, enjoy this answer today?
1. There is something that we must see before anything else
Stephen and the apostles of the Early Church witnessed the earthly ministry of Jesus. They saw how the Jewish people, having lost hold of the Gospel, shouted to crucify Jesus. They saw Jesus Christ suffer on the cross and demonstrate the greatest evidence on earth through His resurrection. And they held onto the last message that Jesus gave after the resurrection. Moreover, they saw the coming of the Holy Spirit and the works of the Holy Spirit which took place afterwards. They saw a man crippled for 40 years walk in the name of Jesus Christ. They saw the working of the Holy Spirit take place in the church through the workers that were full of the Spirit and wisdom, and the apostles who were wholly devoted to the Gospel (Acts 6:1~7).
2. The Early Church saw what was important
The Early Church saw the works of Satan, who was trying to hinder the Gospel, and the plan of God, who used workers that had the Gospel. Beginning with the martyrdom of Stephen, a great persecution broke out against the church of Jerusalem, and everyone but the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria and every part of the land. Those who had been scattered preached the Word of the Gospel wherever they went. Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed Christ to the people. At that time, people who were thirsty, wandering and crying out heard the Gospel and were healed. Those who are perishing don’t need anything other than the Gospel. The way to experience the power of the Word is to hear the Gospel with one’s heart and to follow after it. It is at this time that great disasters are overcome and great joy arises.
3. We must see the future, which is far more important
In the last days, various disasters and calamities will break out, there will be terrible times and people will become wicked and be swayed by all kinds of evil desires. Because there will be great spiritual chaos, those who read and keep the Word of the Lord will have victory. The people of faith in the Bible always enjoyed Immanuel, the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the plan of God and enjoyed the future that God had in store for them.
