Those who changed the world

 To date, individuals and organizations who shared the correct Gospel have suffered great persecutions and faced death. In order to kill Stephen, a man filled with the Spirit who did great wonders and miraculous signs, religious leaders persuaded some men to stir up trouble and stone him to death. Stephen, however, changed the world. Because of that one man Stephen, works are taking place even now. How did the disciples of the Early Church change the world?





1. They put their faith in the power of the Word
 Those who knew the power of the Word of God changed the world. God created the universe through His Word, and He also strengthened people and saved them by His Word inside the Gospel. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the Word of our God stands forever. Therefore, just like firmly embedded nails, the Word of God must be firmly embedded in our heart and mind. Those who grabbed hold of the Word of God are none other than the apostles and the disciples of the Early Church. Stephen in particular was so certain of the Word of God that no one could stand up against him. We must grab hold of the Word of God that works in us. God’s Word is living and active. The day that we grab hold of God’s Word is the day when works take place.





2. They prayed
 Tremendous works will take place when God’s Word is connected to prayer. Stephen was seized by the people and the teachers of the law and heard the words of false witnesses in the Sanhedrin, but was unshaken and began to pray. Neither crowds of people, religious leaders nor any powerful men could stand up against Stephen, a man of prayer. No ideology or doctrine could surpass Stephen, who prayed with the Word of God. Just as falsehood cannot prevail over the truth, ecclesiastical authority or the words of people cannot crush the evangelists who have the Gospel.






3. They delivered the Word
 Great works take place when we proclaim the Word of God. When speaking about the Word of God, Stephen was so filled with wisdom and the Spirit that no one could stand up against him. Amazing works of God will take place when the Word of God is proclaimed, when we grab hold of God’s Word and pray, when we do forum with the Word that we received and when we deliver the Word of God.
