Nothing can separate us from the love of God




Romans 8:31~39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (38~39)

 Enjoying the Gospel and living within prayer is the greatest answer. Nothing and no one can block someone who enjoys this answer. Joseph did not waver while he was a slave. Even Potiphar’s household was blessed because the Lord was with Joseph. David confessed in the face of death that he was not in want because the Lord was his shepherd. We must first receive this blessing. Paul said that nothing can separate us from the love of Jesus Christ. Why?






1. The promise of absolute sovereignty
 God’s Word is not a promise like the one children make. It is the promise of the absolute sovereign who created the universe. God prepared us before the creation. We did not choose God; God chose us. This is not something we can change. This isn’t something that all the people in the world combined could block.






2. Fundamental promise
 If God is going to bless us, who is going to challenge that fact? Who can block those blessings? No one can. Will He who did not spare His own Son not give us all things? Nothing in this world can separate us from the love of Christ. He will be with us after we die too; this is not a relationship that can be broken or ruptured. No created thing can take us out of the hands of Christ.






3. A necessary promise
 There are problems that people absolutely cannot solve. They cannot solve the problem of curses, disasters and spiritual problems that come upon their lives, and they cannot solve the problem of Satan and hell. That is why God gave us a solution to these problems. God sent Christ to solve all of these problems. Christ fulfilled all of the promises that God has given to us to this point. There is absolutely no one who can stop or block Christ. It follows that no one can separate us from the love of Christ. What’s important is how much we believe in this fact. If we do believe in it, our worries will disappear, we will possess freedom and works will arise.
