Do you know what happens when we truly believe in the name of the Lord? People who receive answers do. It might seem like it’s not a big deal if we don’t know what’s contained within this mystery and blow it off because it merely deals with spiritual things. That’s why there are a lot of people who don’t believe in the name of the Lord and blow it off, using His name in vain, or without a second thought, or misusing it. However, if we really know how the Holy Spirit works when we call upon the name of the Lord, we will come to stand on the highest peak of blessings.
1. People who receive the greatest blessings
Moses was sent by the Lord in His name to guide the Israelites, who had been enslaved in Egypt for 400 years, to the promised land. David went before Goliath in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, and defeated him. Hezekiah prayed that the name of the Lord would be testified to all the nations and defeated the armies of Assyria. Isaiah knew the mystery of the name of Immanuel and held onto it as a promise made to him. All of these figures received the greatest of answers. Whether it was John, who knew that those who received Jesus and believed in His name received the right to become children of God (John 1:12), or Paul and Peter, who influenced the entire world, witnesses who knew the mystery of Jesus’ name and called upon it had no choice but to enjoy the greatest answers. The same answers are given today to those who proclaim the name of Jesus Christ. We too will receive the greatest answers if we believe in, call upon and pray with the name of Jesus Christ.
2. The problem that people can never solve
There is something that people cannot solve with their own strength and power. However, there is a perfect answer to this problem. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the work of the devil (1 John 3:8). The name of Christ has the power to drive out demons and overcome enemies (Mark 16:17~19). We will receive whatever we ask for in the Lord’s name (John 16:24). All of creation submits to His name (Philippians 3:21). There is a reason why we must pray with these promises. Prayer is a spiritual science. We can bind the forces of darkness through the name of Jesus Christ, and we can enjoy the answers God gives us through that name. Pray with faith regarding your interpersonal relationships, your studies and your job, and every part of your life.
